Review: Should you find yourself in need of a highly skilled surgeon, ( plastic,trauma,wound,burn) you will want to be sure you land in Dr. Mike VanVliet’s capable hands. He delivered Excellent results and is considerate in every way. My 97 yo mother needed to have a defect closed on her scalp, with skull exposed. It was left open from an extensive Mohs procedure. We found Dr. Van Vliet just in time. Blake Medical Center in Bradenton is a notch above the rest with Dr. VanVliet on staff. We are eternally grateful.

Review: Dr. VanVliet is a gift to those who are fortunate to receive his care. Seven months ago, he accepted the referral from an Emergency Center physician to correct 3rd degree burns on my left arm and thigh. The grafts have completely healed with invisible margins and are scarcely noticeable. I was able to resume usual activity several months ago, playing tennis with no loss of function. From my experience, Dr. VanVliet is a superb burn and plastic surgeon and has done an artistic job in patching me up. Moreover, he is a fine person who cares: On one occasion he went out of his way to contact and reassure my wife after one of two surgeries. He and his team are dedicated and disciplined: they appeared early in the morning to review and direct progress----every day. I am grateful to Michael VanVliet for the calling he has chosen. And also for his team, and all the talented people at Blake Medical Center who support his skill and who took care of me.

Review: Dr. Van Vliet is 1 awesome surgeon. My son was air lifted to Blake after an electrocution from a power line back in June 2018. He had 40% burns on his body & had to have both of his legs amputated. We are truly blessed to have had such a great Dr with great knowledge & not to mention he was very caring. We truly feel that he treated our son with the best care ever. Without Dr. Van Vliet, I'm not sure how my son would be today. He is finally getting his life back one day at a time. And we have Dr. Van Vliet to thank for that. Not once but twice he saved his life. I could go on & on for days about Dr. Van Vliet. ONE AMAZINGLY AWESOME DR. & PERSON!!

Review: Dr. Van Vliet conducted major surgery on me late in the night to early morning last year to save my life. I had 3rd degree burns on over 40% of my body entering Blake hospital late in the evening. He have performed several plastic surgeries on me and is still dedicated to restore me to who I once was. Review: I am totally blessed and overwhelmed to have crossed paths with Doctor Van Vliet and his wonderful staff. After an intense battle with breast cancer and having to go through mastectomy and latisimus dorsi reconstruction I never dreamed I'd be back in this position again. My 20 yr old implant ruptured and After a 120 pound weight loss I was in desperate shape. Other plastic surgeons looked at me and didn't want to tackle completely redoing this breast redo. Dr. VanVleit took one look and was completely confident in his game plan. My husband says my breasts look even better than they did when I was young. I feel like a new woman. I have so much confidence and the workmanship is amazing. I can't recommend him enough! His, and his staffs care and compassion made my experience so memorable.
